Fontaine will lead Above Food’s already high-performing FSQA and regulatory team, bringing more than 12 years of experience and strong passion for helping produce safe and ethically sourced foods.

 

Most recently, Fontaine served as director of food safety and quality assurance for Merit Functional Foods in Winnipeg establishing the food safety and quality assurance program of this new processing facility. Prior to this, she worked in the oat industry as director of quality assurance for Avena Foods Limited in Regina, Saskatchewan. Fontaine has a track record of fostering teamwork and collaboration across all departments to establish a strong food safety culture, building effective proactive GFSI programs, and assuring reliable internal laboratories for food analysis.
